It’s a work inspired by a chapter of the book of the same title by the Italian writer, Pier Vittorio Tondelli, who ironically images the end of the world (the Apocalypse) waited by tourists on holiday in Rimini. I’ve used family images, of holidays at the seaside in the Sixties and Seventies, next to photos of the present-day, desert and lunar seaside in October.
